The Boston Celtics are reportedly engaged in active trade discussions concerning their All-Star forward, Jaylen Brown, with numerous teams expressing interest in acquiring his services, according to sources privy to ESPN's Shams Charania. These reports indicate that the Celtics have been actively listening to trade offers, a move that follows their attempt to position Brown as the central piece in a trade package for Giannis Antetokounmpo of the Milwaukee Bucks. However, Antetokounmpo is now slated to join the Miami Heat in a deal involving multiple players and draft picks.

Despite these ongoing trade endeavors, Celtics president of basketball operations Brad Stevens reaffirmed the organization's high regard for Brown on Tuesday night. Stevens stated, "Jaylen Brown is a big part of us," and emphasized the team's long-standing strategy of building around core players like Brown over the past few years. While acknowledging the unpredictable nature of the future, Stevens underscored the consistent value Brown has held within the franchise, praising him as an "amazing teammate and a great person to be around."

Brown, who is 29 years old, is currently in the midst of a five-year, $285.4 million extension signed in 2023, with three years remaining on his contract. He is eligible to sign another two-year extension worth $141.9 million starting July 26. Stevens also revealed that he has held multiple one-on-one meetings with Brown this offseason, a regular practice, and has maintained continuous contact with Brown's agent.
