Caitlin Clark’s Indiana Fever teammate, Aliyah Boston, could not believe her ears when she heard that she received a technical foul and a fine in their season-opening game against the Chicago Sky. On Saturday, the Fever played their first game of the WNBA regular season against the Sky and put up a magnificent win, as Angel Reese & co. struggled.
Despite her team winning with a stunning final score, Caitlin Clark’s experience in the game was not exactly so smooth. Clark tried to block Reese from putting up a score and was called out on a flagrant foul. Meanwhile, Aliyah Boston, who defended her on the court, was also called out on a technical foul.
In an interview with an ESPN reporter during the game, Caitlin Clark admitted that she did not exactly whole-heartedly agree with the referee’s decision. She stated that the foul was definitely not a malicious foul and was something normal in the game.

Meanwhile, Aliyah Boston, who has been playing for the Indiana Fever since 2023, was issued a technical foul and seemed to learn of this for the very first time during the post-game press conference. Boston also learned for the first time that there is a $200 fine which Caitlin Clark will pay.
Caitlin Clark is in her sophomore year with the Indiana Fever after being selected by the team as the first overall pick in the very first round of the 2024 draft. Before the WNBA, Clark played college basketball for the Iowa Hawkeyes.

Meanwhile, Caitlin Clark recently received some major motivation from none other than LeBron James before the WNBA season started. James took to Instagram to post a picture of himself side-hugging Clark and asked her to simply be herself in the upcoming season.
“Good luck and DO YOU per usual this season!!!” LeBron James captioned his Instagram post encouraging Clark in her upcoming season.
However, LeBron James’ message for Caitlin Clark seemed to anger a certain crowd of people. Fans of the Chicago Sky star, Angel Reese, took to social media to criticize LeBron James for apparently never encouraging her and only doing this for Caitlin Clark.
While many consider LeBron James to be the absolute GOAT in terms of men’s basketball, many feel that Caitlin Clark is the greatest female basketball player of all time. Of course, many Angel Reese fans would gladly dispute this.
