Business student receives Dawn Incorporated Scholarship for Future Construction Professionals | YSU
Dawn Incorporated, a construction company based in Warren, has strengthened its partnership with Youngstown State University by awarding the Scholarship for Future Construction Professionals to Noelle DelGarbino, a junior Accounting major from Warren.
"I am incredibly honored to receive this internship opportunity and to work alongside such a talented group of professionals," said DelGarbino. “I deeply appreciate the faculty and staff at WCBA for their guidance and support throughout the process. I look forward to gaining practical experience and growing in my professional career.”
This innovative professional development program includes a paid career-related internship, full tuition coverage for two years and valuable professional networking and mentoring opportunities. DelGarbino will gain hands-on experience, working full-time during the summers and part-time throughout the academic year in Dawn Incorporated’s accounting department.
“This is a significant investment in our students and an innovative approach for Dawn Incorporated to cultivate future talent within their company,” stated YSU President Bill Johnson. “These partnerships create meaningful benefits for students, the company and the broader community. Providing professional opportunities, competitive wages and early career experiences helps retain talent in the region and strengthens our workforce. We’re grateful that Dawn Incorporated chose YSU as their education partner.”
“YSU produces outstanding talent, and we are proud to support their students through this scholarship. Our goal is to give back to the community and help student interns thrive at Dawn Incorporated, with the hope that they will continue their careers here in the Mahoning Valley,” said Dawn Ochman, president and CEO of Dawn Incorporated.
Dawn Incorporated initiated this program last year, selecting two engineering students for the Scholarship for Future Construction Professionals program. One recent graduate, Dillen Knowles, has accepted full-time employment with Dawn Incorporated as a project engineer.
