BRIT Awards 2027: Future Ceremony Dates & Venue Confirmed!
The BRIT Awards are returning to Manchester’s Co-op Live in 2027, following a highly successful 2026 event which marked its first time outside London. Stacey Tang has been reappointed as committee chair, aiming to build on the record-breaking global audience and significant local impact achieved in Manchester.
The prestigious BRIT Awards are set to return to Manchester's Co-op Live in 2027, organizers confirmed, marking a continued shift for the event outside of London. Scheduled for Saturday, February 27, the ceremony will once again be broadcast live on ITV1 and ITVX. This decision follows the successful 2026 edition, which also took place at the Oak View Group-owned Co-op Live, making it the first time in the BRIT Awards' nearly 50-year history that the show was held outside the capital.
Historically, the BRIT Awards have been hosted in various London venues, including The O2 Arena from 2012 to 2025, Earl’s Court from 1996 to 2011, and Alexandra Palace from 1993 to 1995. The move to Manchester signifies a new chapter for the awards, which have been embraced by the city.
Stacey Tang, co-president of RCA Records at Sony Music U.K., has been reappointed as chair of the 2027 BRITs Committee. In this role, Tang will oversee all aspects of the show, including its creative direction. She will lead a diverse committee comprising representatives from major and independent record labels, BRITs TV, and the BPI. Tang, who was recognized on Billboard U.K.’s 2026 Power Players list, also successfully chaired the committee for the 2026 ceremony.
The 2026 BRIT Awards in Manchester were hailed as a significant success by organizers, reportedly delivering the largest global audience in the event’s history. The show featured a stellar lineup of performances, including Harry Styles, EJAE, AUDREY NUNA, REI AMI (the voices behind K-Pop Demon Hunters’ HUNTR/X), Mark Ronson, Olivia Dean, Rosalía, RAYE, and Wolf Alice. Key winners from that night included Olivia Dean, who took home four awards, notably Album of the Year for her acclaimed second LP, 'The Art of Loving'. Noel Gallagher was honored as Songwriter of the Year, and Lola Young received the Breakthrough Artist prize.
Speaking on the return, Stacey Tang expressed her enthusiasm, stating, “It’s a real privilege to return as Chair and to be back in Manchester for a second year. There was such an incredible energy around the 2026 show — across the city, the industry and with fans everywhere. I’m excited to build on that global success alongside a brilliant team, pushing the show creatively and continuing to celebrate the artists, the culture and the communities that make British music what it is.”
Dr. Jo Twist OBE, CEO of BPI, echoed this sentiment, highlighting Manchester’s welcoming nature: “Following the record-breaking success of this year’s show in Manchester, we can’t wait to return to the Co-op Live to continue celebrating and championing music and creativity to a global audience, from a city with a great heritage that has truly welcomed and embraced us with open arms.”
Manchester City Council leader Bev Craig emphasized the profound local impact of the awards, noting, “This year’s BRIT Awards in Manchester were a huge success with a global reach and massive local impact, and we’re excited and ready to help make 2027 the biggest year yet for The BRITs!” Craig further elaborated on the benefits, which included economic boosts, showcasing small local music venues, providing opportunities for young musicians and creatives, and engaging with Greater Manchester schools. The council plans to create even more avenues for local involvement in the upcoming awards.
