Brad Pitt on Being Starstruck by Fellow Celebrities

It is difficult to imagine anyone leaving Brad Pitt starstruck in the present day. However, the renowned actor recently revealed that back in 1991, during the filming of the iconic movie 'Thelma & Louise', he was indeed stunned by his co-stars, Geena Davis and Susan Sarandon. Appearing on the 'New Heights' podcast, hosted by brothers Jason and Travis Kelce, the Oscar winner candidly shared that working alongside Davis and Sarandon made him feel like a fan. Ever the professional, Pitt quickly added, "I got over it quickly, though."

'Thelma & Louise' holds significant cinematic importance, widely regarded as a feminist landmark that continues to maintain a cult following. The film also marked a pivotal moment in Pitt's career, serving as his breakout role. In the crime drama, Pitt portrayed the conniving character J.D., who famously sleeps with Thelma, played by Geena Davis, before ultimately robbing her.

Both Davis and Sarandon have previously commented on their experiences working with Pitt. Geena Davis shared with Entertainment Weekly that she had provided input on the casting for J.D. and felt a strong chemistry with Pitt during their scenes. Susan Sarandon, in turn, praised Pitt, noting that he was one of the few actors who possessed "the curiosity to not just coast in on their good looks" but instead "approached a lot of their leading men as character parts," indicating his dedication beyond superficial charm.

Since his memorable role in 'Thelma & Louise', Brad Pitt's career has seen continuous success and growth. He has gone on to star in numerous acclaimed films, including 'Fight Club', 'Ocean's Eleven', 'Inglourious Basterds', and most recently, 'F1'. His revelation on the Kelce brothers' podcast offers a unique glimpse into the early days of his career and the lasting impact of his foundational roles.
