Former prime minister Boris Johnson and his wife Carrie Johnson have welcomed their fourth child, a daughter named Poppy Eliza Josephine Johnson. Mrs. Johnson shared the news on social media, expressing her joy and admiration for their new baby. She wrote about being smitten and unable to stop looking at her lovely daughter, mentioning she hasn't slept much since Poppy's birth.

Poppy joins the couple's other children, Wilfred, Romy, and Frank. Mrs. Johnson expressed gratitude to the maternity team at UCLH, specifically thanking Asma and Patrick for their exceptional care throughout her pregnancies. She noted that her other children, especially Romy, were thrilled about the new addition to the family.

Mrs. Johnson mentioned that she is out of the hospital and looking forward to enjoying cocktails and pizza with her baby. She added that "life doesn't get any better." The couple married in May 2021 and have since had Romy in December 2021, Wilf in April 2020, and Frank in July 2023. Poppy is described as the "final gang member."

Poppy is Boris Johnson's ninth child. He has four children with his ex-wife Marina Wheeler, and a child born in 2009 from an affair with art consultant Helen Macintyre. Mr. Johnson confirmed having six children during an interview in 2021, following much speculation.
