Mumbai: A Jaipur-Mumbai flight was forced to undertake the emergency landing protocol at the Mumbai airport on Monday night after the crew found a bomb threat note in the lavatory.
CISF and a bomb disposal squad found the threat to be a hoax. Sahar police were lodging an FIR at the time of going to press.
As per a statement issued by Mumbai International Airport Limited, the airport declared a full emergency at 8.43pm as a precautionary measure. The flight landed safely at 8.50pm, with no disruption to regular airport operations.
Police officials said they were trying to identify the person responsible for placing the threat note. Tnn
