Bollywood's Newest Sensation: Ahaan Panday's Explosive Debut with Saiyaara

Ahaan Panday has made his highly anticipated Bollywood debut with the film “Saiyaara,” produced by Yash Raj Films and helmed by the acclaimed director Mohit Suri. The movie, which also stars Aneet Padda, opened to significant buzz, marking a new chapter for the young actor and promising two new future superstars to the industry.
Ahead of the film's release, Ahaan took to Instagram to share an emotional message dedicated to Mohit Suri, offering a rare insight into his journey. He recounted how he grew up captivated by Suri’s film music, particularly mentioning “Aashiqui 2” as a pivotal influence in shaping his cinematic aspirations. Ahaan expressed deep gratitude to Suri for his belief in him, for realizing his childhood dreams on screen, and for guiding him towards his destiny, concluding his heartfelt note with “aaj, kal aur forever, bas tum hi ho.”
Beyond Mohit Suri, Ahaan extended his appreciation to the entire team behind “Saiyaara,” acknowledging their crucial roles in his journey. He specifically thanked Vik for his vision, Sumana for her persistence, Akshaye Widhani for taking a leap of faith as a producer, Sankalp for writing a magical script, Aditya Chopra (Adi sir) for his unwavering belief even when others doubted, and Shanoo for consistently shaping him and providing sole and soul support as a guiding light.
Ahaan’s debut was met with immense support from his family. His uncle, veteran actor Chunky Panday, shared rare childhood photos of Ahaan and his daughter Ananya Panday on Instagram, conveying his best wishes and hoping Ahaan would “shine the Brightest in our Galaxy full of Stars.” Similarly, his cousin, actress Ananya Panday, expressed her long-standing affection, stating she’d been “obsessed with my brother since day 1” and eagerly awaited the world to share her sentiment. She posted adorable throwback pictures, celebrating his first film and welcoming him to the movies.
Mohit Suri, renowned for his musical blockbusters like “Zeher,” “Kalyug,” “Woh Lamhe,” “Awarapan,” and the iconic “Aashiqui 2,” ventures into a new collaboration with “Saiyaara.” While his previous successes were largely under the Vishesh Films banner, this film marks his first production with Yash Raj Films. Suri described “Saiyaara” as a personal homage to the love stories that profoundly influenced him throughout his life, emphasizing the enduring appeal and special nature of the romantic genre.
“Saiyaara” has already created a storm in Bollywood and trade circles, demonstrating its impressive pre-release performance. The film sold a remarkable 1.95 lakh tickets in pre-sales at leading multiplex chains nationwide, securing its position as the second-highest opener of 2025, trailing only the historical drama “Chhaava” (2.23 lakh tickets). This strong showing allowed “Saiyaara” to surpass other anticipated big-budget films, including Salman Khan’s “Sikandar,” Akshay Kumar’s “Housefull 5,” and Ajay Devgn’s “Raid 2,” signaling a massive craze among young movie lovers eager to experience this intense romantic drama. The film features a soulful soundtrack composed by various artists including Mithoon, Sachet-Parampara, Vishal Mishra, and Tanishk Bagchi, further contributing to its anticipated success.
