Bollywood King Shah Rukh Khan to Be Celebrated with Grand Birthday Film Festival Across India

PVR Inox Limited, recognized as India’s foremost film exhibition company, is set to honor Bollywood icon Shah Rukh Khan with an exclusive film festival to commemorate his upcoming birthday on November 2nd. The cinematic celebration is scheduled to commence on October 31st and will run for two weeks, featuring seven of Khan’s most beloved films. This extensive event will be hosted across more than 75 cinemas in over 30 cities, providing a unique opportunity for both devoted long-time fans and newer audiences to immerse themselves in the actor's illustrious three-decade-long career on the silver screen.
The meticulously curated lineup of films showcases Shah Rukh Khan’s remarkable range and versatility as a performer. Audiences will have the chance to revisit a diverse array of genres, from the high-octane action-comedy of “Chennai Express” and the opulent romantic epic “Devdas,” to the nuanced political drama “Dil Se” and his recent record-breaking blockbuster “Jawan.” Complementing these blockbusters are the timeless classics “Kabhi Haan Kabhi Na,” “Main Hoon Na,” and the meta-Bollywood tribute “Om Shanti Om,” ensuring a comprehensive retrospective of his work.
Expressing his sentiments regarding the festival, Shah Rukh Khan released a statement highlighting his deep connection with cinema. “Cinema has always been my home, and seeing these films find their way back to the big screen feels like a beautiful reunion,” Khan stated. He further emphasized the collective ownership of these stories, adding, “These movies are not just my stories, they belong to the audience that have lovingly embraced them over the last 33 years.” The superstar also conveyed his profound gratitude to PVR Inox for conceptualizing and staging the festival, and to Red Chillies Entertainment, his production banner, “for always believing in stories that connect us all.”
Niharika Bijli, the lead strategist at PVR Inox, articulated the company’s perspective on the actor’s significance, referring to Khan as “more than a global icon – he’s an emotion.” Bijli added that the upcoming festival serves as “a tribute to his artistry – and to the joy and hope he continues to bring to audiences around the world.” This retrospective aligns with PVR Inox’s broader strategic initiative aimed at celebrating landmark films and acknowledging exceptional talent, both from India and internationally. Through such events, the exhibitor endeavors to introduce classic cinematic works to younger generations while simultaneously offering older audiences a cherished opportunity to relive memorable theatrical experiences. PVR Inox operates an extensive network comprising 1,757 screens across 353 cinemas in 111 cities spanning India and Sri Lanka.
