Bloody Brawls & Fan Favorites Return! 'Daredevil: Born Again' Season 2 Footage Shocks MCU Fans

After a period of considerable confusion and speculation, Marvel TV boss Brad Winderbaum officially confirmed at New York Comic Con that Elden Henson will indeed reprise his role as Foggy Nelson in the upcoming second season of Disney+'s Daredevil: Born Again. This clarification comes after conflicting statements and even Henson himself appearing to deny his return, stating at LA Comic-Con, “I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but it’s just not happening.” Winderbaum attributed the misinformation to actors being unsure about what they are permitted to disclose, noting, “People don't know what they're allowed to say and what they're not allowed to say.”
The announcement of Foggy Nelson’s return is particularly significant given his shocking death in the Season 1 premiere of Born Again. The series, which debuted on Disney+ in early 2025, reunited Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock, Deborah Ann Woll as Karen Page, and Henson as Foggy Nelson, marking their first on-screen collaboration since Netflix’s Daredevil concluded in 2018. However, this reunion was short-lived, as Wilson Bethel’s Bullseye tragically gunned down Foggy. Producers had heavily deliberated over this decision, acknowledging the profound impact Foggy’s loss would have on the narrative and Matt Murdock's world, leading Matt into a depressive state where he hung up his Daredevil costume.
New York Comic Con also provided fans with the first official footage from Daredevil: Born Again Season 2, revealing exciting details and confirmations. The highly anticipated second season is slated to premiere on Disney+ in March 2026. A major highlight of the trailer, shown exclusively to attendees, was the official return of Krysten Ritter as Jessica Jones, who had previously starred in her own Marvel series on Netflix and teamed up with Daredevil in The Defenders. Her comeback has ignited further speculation among fans regarding the potential return of other Defenders members, such as Mike Colter's Luke Cage, though no official word has been given.
The series continues to expand its roster of beloved characters. Jon Bernthal, who first portrayed The Punisher in Netflix's Daredevil and his own spinoff, made his MCU debut in Born Again and is expected to return in Season 2. Bernthal is also set to star in his own MCU TV special and will appear alongside Tom Holland in next summer's Spider-Man: Brand New Day. Furthermore, Charlie Cox, who has previously reprised his Daredevil role in Spider-Man: No Way Home, She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, and Echo, is rumored to have a role in Spider-Man: Brand New Day as well. Brad Winderbaum confirmed that the creative teams behind Born Again Season 2 and Spider-Man: Brand New Day are in constant contact, emphasizing that they
