An Atlanta stop on Beyoncé’s ‘Cowboy Carter’ tour took an unexpected turn last week when hard drives reportedly containing unreleased music and other confidential materials were stolen from a rental vehicle linked to her tour team.

According to police, the incident occurred on July 8 at a parking deck on Krog Street NE, where a rented Jeep Wagoneer being used by Beyoncé’s longtime choreographer, Christopher Grant, was broken into. The stolen items included two suitcases belonging to Grant and one belonging to backup dancer Diandre Blue.

Among the contents reportedly missing: laptops and hard drives holding watermarked tracks, unreleased music, set lists (past and upcoming), and tour footage plans. The theft was first reported by CNN, citing Atlanta Police Department records.

In addition to the music-related materials, Grant said that a pair of Tom Ford sunglasses, a Tumi backpack, and various items of clothing were also taken. Blue reported the loss of a MacBook Air and headphones.

The Atlanta Police Department’s Larceny from Auto Unit is handling the investigation. An arrest warrant has been issued for an unnamed suspect, authorities said.

While Beyoncé herself was not directly involved in the incident, the breach highlights the high-stakes security concerns surrounding major tours and unreleased content in the digital age. The ‘Cowboy Carter’ tour — named after her genre-blending, chart-topping album — has been drawing massive crowds across the country.

Beyoncé wrapped her final Atlanta show shortly after the reported theft. Her next performance is scheduled for July 25 in Las Vegas.
