Windrose Giants Antwerp (Pro Basketball League) have signed 27-year-old American 203cm forward Robert Howard (college: UIC, agency: One Motive Sports) for the upcoming season. Howard, who last played for BK Opava in the NBL league in the Czech Republic, averaged 13.1ppg, 7.6rpg, and 1.0bpg in 41 games last season. He also had a strong showing in the European North Basketball League, averaging 14.9ppg, 7.3rpg, 1.0apg, and 1.3bpg in 8 games. Howard's performance earned him a spot on the Eurobasket.com All-European North Basketball League Honorable Mention team. Additionally, his team finished as the regular season runner-up in the Czech Republic League in 2025.
During the summer of 2024, he played at Gibson in the U.S. semi-pro league, The Basketball Tournament.
Howard has played ppg in Austria (Gunners Oberwart) and Slovakia (Levice).
He graduated from the University of Illinois at Chicago in 2021, and it will be his fifth season in pro basketball. His team was the regular season runner-up in the Czech Republic League in 2025. Howard also played for Shawnee Community College for 2 years.
