Beatrice Elachi Shares Five Attributes of Son Elvis Murakana Little-Known to Kenyans: "Loved Church"

Dagoretti North MP Beatrice Elachi recently shared intimate details about her late son, Elvis Murakana Namenya, during his celebration of life mass at Holy Trinity Church in Kileleshwa. Elachi began her tribute by expressing the profound love and cherishment she held for Elvis, emphasizing that he was a gift from God at a time when she was very young.

Elachi recounted that Elvis had always been remarkably healthy, never requiring hospitalization. Tragically, the accident that ultimately led to his passing marked his first admission to a hospital. She also shared insights into Elvis's personality, noting that he was an introverted young man, particularly in his early years, preferring to keep to himself.

Despite his quiet nature, Elvis had passions that were evident to those around him. He was an avid football enthusiast, a passion he shared with his brother Kevin. Additionally, Elvis had a deep appreciation for music, mirroring his mother's love for it, as Elachi herself served in the church choir. She revealed that Elvis also loved the church, a place he was visiting for the last time.

Addressing the congregation, Elachi emphasized that the service was not only to mourn Elvis but also to celebrate his life and to pray for God's mercy and favor upon him, that he may find his place in heaven. She took a moment to advise young parents on the importance of fostering open communication with their children.

Elachi highlighted the independence of the younger generation, noting their tendency to handle challenges independently, often without informing their parents until a crisis arises. She shared that Elvis had acted in a similar manner, which unfortunately led to the circumstances of his accident as he was returning home.

The MP detailed the events of the accident, explaining that a tire burst, causing Elvis to activate the emergency brakes. This action, she explained, resulted in the car losing control and skidding, leading to a severe head injury that caused significant brain damage. After several days on life support, Elachi accepted the heartbreaking reality that her son would not recover.
