During the late Elvis Murakana Namenya's celebration of life mass at Holy Trinity Church in Kileleshwa, Elachi stood to read her son's eulogy, although in summary.
This, she said, was a lesson she learnt from another event, where the young generation wondered why the eulogy was read while it had been shared with them in print.
The legislator said she wanted to speak about her son, whom God gave her at a very tender time, and was among the children she cherished.
The leader said Elvis had never gone to the hospital, as he was never sick, and the first time he stepped into the hospital was the time that led to his loss.
Elachi said Elvis was a very introverted guy, especially during his early years, meaning he loved to keep to himself, without much to say.
One thing that was clear about Elvis to his family was that he loved football a lot, something that his brother Kevin also disclosed to have enjoyed playing with him.
Elachi said Elvis was also a big fan of music, just like his mother, who would serve in the choir at the church.
The mom also revealed that her son loved the church, which he was sadly visiting for the final time while asleep.
Elachi said the mourners were in church to celebrate Elvis and also pray that the Lord may have mercy on him and give him favour to see heaven.
The MP also shared a word of advice with parents on raising a young generation that believes they can handle their problems.
"They wake up at any hour when one is in a challenge and will not even tell you. They go, deal with the problem and will only tell you if indeed they were unable to do it and there is crisis, but they will bail each other out," she said.
She said that was the same thing her son did, but it did not end well as he was coming back home.

also reported that Elachi narrated how the accident leading to her son's injury happened as he was coming from an errand.
She said one of the tyres burst, and Elvis activated the emergency brakes, which was a huge mistake as the car lost control and skidded on the road.
The impact from the crash led to a serious head injury that opened up his skull, leading to serious brain damage.
After a few days on life support, Elachi came to terms that her son was gone and never coming back.
