Finance Minister Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson is expected to present the 2025 Mid-Year Budget Statement to Parliament on Thursday, 24 July 2025.

The announcement was made on the floor of Parliament by the Deputy Majority Leader, George Kweku Ricketts-Hagan, while delivering the explanatory memorandum on the Business Statement for the upcoming week.

The Mid-Year Budget is anticipated to provide a comprehensive overview of the government’s fiscal performance for the first half of the year.

It will also outline any necessary revisions and policy adjustments aimed at sustaining economic stability and advancing the government’s development agenda for the remainder of 2025.

Stakeholders across various sectors, including business, labour, and civil society, are closely watching to see how the finance minister addresses key economic challenges such as revenue mobilisation, expenditure control, debt sustainability, and measures to support growth amid global and domestic pressures.

Ato Forson’s presentation is expected to reaffirm the government’s commitment to fiscal discipline while highlighting strategies to boost investor confidence and improve the welfare of Ghanaians.

Parliament is set to debate the statement following its presentation as part of efforts to ensure thorough scrutiny and accountability in the management of public finances.
