Astronomer CEO Andy Byron's $70mn net worth in spotlight after Coldplay kiss cam: Who are Megan Kerrigan and Kristin Cabot?
A Coldplay concert turned into an unexpected storm for Andy Byron, CEO of tech firm Astronomer, after a video of him and his Chief People Officer, Kristin Cabot, appeared on the venue’s jumbotron. The brief clip, now widely circulated on social media, captured the pair holding each other closely before quickly pulling away and walking off.
The footage was shown during Coldplay frontman Chris Martin’s onstage use of a "kiss cam," leading to a moment that the internet quickly turned into a talking point. As the couple turned away to avoid the camera, Martin remarked, “Either they’re having an affair or they’re just very shy.”
Andy Byron took over as CEO of Astronomer in July 2023. The data software company, valued at over $1.3 billion, specializes in data orchestration and serves a range of industries including banking and media. His net worth is believed to range between $20 million and $70 million.
Under Byron’s leadership, Astronomer recorded a 100% increase in annual recurring revenue, net dollar retention above 130%, and logged over 2.6 billion successful task runs on its Astro platform in FY2025.

Byron is a graduate of Providence College and lives in New York with his wife, Megan Kerrigan Byron, and their two children. His professional background includes stints at Lacework, Cybereason, Vericenter, and BMC Software.
The Coldplay concert incident took place when Byron and Cabot were caught on the jumbotron during the band’s “kiss cam” segment. Their awkward reaction—pulling away and trying to shield their faces—sparked speculation about the nature of their relationship.
Internet users soon identified Byron’s wife, Megan Kerrigan Byron, as the woman not present in the video. Megan later removed "Byron" from her name on Facebook and deactivated her social media accounts, further fueling online discussion.
Cabot, who joined Astronomer as Chief People Officer in November 2024, recently finalized a divorce from Kenneth Thornby. The couple had filed for divorce in 2018 and it was settled in 2022. They share at least one child.

As the video gained traction, former colleagues of Byron shared opinions about his professional conduct. According to one former employee, group chats among past staff lit up after the video emerged. “Everybody’s laughing… and enjoying the hell out of what happened,” they told The New York Post.
The same source described Byron as a forceful, sales-focused leader, who was considered by some to be “toxic” in the workplace.
Meanwhile, Cabot had described her own approach to leadership in a January interview, saying, “Magic happens when you align the people strategy to the business strategy and sync the two.”

Andy Byron is married to Megan Kerrigan Byron, an educator at Bancroft School. She serves as the Associate Director of Lower School & The Hope Graham Program Admission, supporting students with language-based learning differences.
Following the viral video, Megan removed the ‘Byron’ surname from her Facebook profile and eventually deactivated both Facebook and Instagram accounts. Screenshots circulated online showed the change before her pages were taken down. Social media users speculated about the status of the marriage, with some calling it a public fallout.
Kristin Cabot became Chief People Officer at Astronomer in November 2024. She oversees people strategy and previously worked at ObserveIT, Neo4j, and Proofpoint.
In a January 2025 interview, Cabot described her role as aligning people and business strategies: “Magic happens when you align the people strategy to the business strategy and sync the two.”
Cabot was previously married to Kenneth Thornby. They filed for divorce in 2018, finalized it in 2022, and share at least one child. Court records show Thornby was ordered to make a lump sum child support payment.
