As they continue tour with Oasis, Cast announce new album 'Yeah Yeah Yeah' with angsty single 'Poison Vine'
With their Oasis support slots ongoing, Cast have announced their new album ‘Yeah Yeah Yeah’ and shared the lead single ‘Poison Vine’.
The Liverpool band are playing the opening set at all 19 dates of the UK and Ireland leg of the massive ‘Oasis Live ‘25’ tour, which has so far seen two dates in Cardiff and the first two of five at Manchester’s Heaton Park.
Now, they have confirmed that their follow-up to 2024’s ‘Love Is The Call’ will arrive on January 30, 2026 via Scruff Of The Neck Records – you can pre-order/pre-save it here.
The first taste of the record is ‘Poison Vine’, which features their signature chiming guitar sound and guest vocals from veteran soul singer P.P. Arnold. Check out the song here:
Frontman John Power has said: “There’s an angst to ‘Poison Vine’ that wrote itself: ‘Something deep inside you want me to find’. It’s got a groove and a sassiness throughout the track, but when I heard them two vocals kicking in on the chorus, then I just knew we had it! I thought, that’s it, that’s the real thing.”
Speaking about the album more generally, he added: “‘Yeah Yeah Yeah’ just arrived out of the blue. There was a window of opportunity – Youth was free, the studio was free, and the band were free – and I thought, let providence prevail.”

“No one had heard the songs apart from myself and Alan McGee, but we both thought that we had something. You could feel it, even though none of the songs were really finished, and so we decided to roll with it and record them. It was more than just trying to capture a vibe – it was about trying to record something majestic, which is how Youth describes the record.”
Cast spoke to NME last year about the prospect of taking on the Oasis support slots, with Power admitting he was “blown away by it”.
“We had the nod and were just waiting for the official announcement,” he added. “Now we can bask in it. It’s a stamp of approval from our peers, and I appreciate that massively.”
He continued: “It kind of reaffirms our legacy and authenticates the road and journey that we’ve been on as a band. And now us, Richard Ashcroft and Oasis – talk about Northern Soul! That’s some line-up.”
At the first Cardiff show, Power dedicated ‘Walkaway’ to the late Liverpool star Diogo Jota, with the band playing other hits such as ‘Guiding Star’ and ‘Alright’ – see the full round up of the gig here.
Backstage at one of the Cardiff shows, Power also posted a video of him singing a lighthearted ballad dedicated to Oasis guitarist Paul “Bonehead” Arthurs.
