Anees Bazmee on Diljit Dosanjh's exit from 'No Entry 2': "Main kabhi safaiyaan nahi deta" | Hindi Movie News - Times of India
Director Anees Bazmee has broken his silence on reports suggesting that Diljit Dosanjh has exited 'No Entry 2' due to creative differences. While producer Boney Kapoor has already dismissed the rumours, clarifying that the issue was solely scheduling conflicts—Bazmee, in a recent interview, chose to take the development in stride, without any hard feelings.‘I’m Not Upset, Just Happy the Film Is Happening’Reacting to the speculation, Bazmee, in his interaction with News18, said he isn’t upset about Diljit’s departure. For him, the bigger joy is that the much-anticipated comedy is finally moving forward. “I’m just happy that the film is getting made. There’s no bigger joy than that,” he said, emphasizing that casting changes are not new in his career. “It’s not like I’ve always worked with my first choices.
I’ve had to work with my second and even third choices.
But the audience always ended up loving them.”‘Main Kabhi Safaiyaan Nahi Deta’Bazmee firmly dismissed the need to issue clarifications. “Since it’s a big film, everything that happens makes news. I’m used to these things and I don’t let them bother me. Main kabhi safaiyaan nahi deta. Jo hona hai, woh hi hoga aur jo hoga, achcha hi hoga,” he said.He also recalled his brief interactions with Diljit.
“Our last meeting lasted just 10 minutes. He was trying to sort out his dates. Boney ji was there too. But I understood his situation,” the director said, adding that there was mutual respect despite the scheduling conflicts.‘Diljit is Honest and Talented’Despite the exit, Bazmee praised Diljit’s integrity and simplicity. “He’s a very honest human being and a very talented actor,” he said, recounting their first meeting during the script narration. “He didn’t even need to hear the full story. He just said, ‘Comedy hai, teen heroes hai, No Entry dekh ke hum kitne hasse hai,’ and agreed immediately.”With the casting shake-up likely settled, Bazmee is now focused on taking ‘No Entry 2’ on floors soon.
