Amy Slaton, star of 1000-Lb. Sisters, became engaged to Brian Lovvorn after dating for just five months. The proposal occurred inside the padded room of Henderson Haunts’ haunted house in Henderson, Kentucky, and was filmed during the winter of 2024 for the TLC show. Amy's sisters, Tammy Slaton and Misty Slaton Wentworth, were present.

Amy recounted that Brian had initially put a green apple Ring Pop on her finger while she was asleep about two weeks into their relationship. She agreed to marry him only if the real proposal took place in a haunted house on Halloween. Brian proposed with a ring featuring two skeleton hands forming a heart, without any diamonds. The couple intends to have a short engagement and desires a small, quaint wedding, preferably on Halloween. They are still in the process of planning, needing to secure a venue, dress, flowers, and finalize the wedding party.

Amy envisions a white dress with black lines, a corset, and a princess poof. Brian wants her to have pink hair and a Victorian-style updo. Amy noted how well Brian integrated into her family, especially with her sons, Gage, 4, and Glenn, 2, from her previous marriage to Michael Halterman. She praised Brian for his patience, understanding, and his “heart of gold.”

Amy and Brian met at a concert where they bonded in the mosh pit and over street tacos. Amy described Brian as the “ultimate package” and appreciates his shared love for horror.
