TLC star Tammy Slaton is engaged!

The 1000-Lb. Sisters star, 38, casually announced the news during her appearance on the Creative Chaos podcast, the episode of which was released on Tuesday, June 24. While talking about her romance with Andrea Dalton — whom she only went public with two months ago — Slaton referred to her as her "fiancée," which prompted host Hunter Ezell to ask for relationship status clarification.

"Hold on, you said fiancée?" he questioned after Slaton answered, "Me and my fiancée we kind of just chill at home," to his question about what she enjoys doing when she's not filming.

Slaton, who wore a silver necklace with the name "Andrea" on it, blushed and smiled. She then continued, "Like, we go to Walmart and just walk around or Roses, somewhere like that, not to buy just to walk around, get some exercise, something to do."

Ezell circled back to the engagement slip, and pointed out how Slaton was "lighting up" at the mention of her fiancée. The bride-to-be then held up her left hand to show off a sparkling ring on that finger.

"Have mercy, that is so cute!" Ezell said.

During the season 7 premiere of 1000-Lb. Sisters in April, the reality TV star shared that she was dating someone new, who was later revealed to be Dalton. Throughout season 7, viewers saw glimpses of Slaton’s budding romance with Dalton, including their first public date at a bowling alley.

In a confessional, Slaton said that while she has "feelings" for Dalton, they were "taking things slow, day by day." She waited a "couple of months" to tell her family about her relationship because she was unsure how they'd "react" to her dating a woman because they have a lot of "opinions."

“I think I want to approach this relationship different than I have in the past, so I haven't told my family because my family’s gonna have something to say about it,” she said. Luckily, everyone seemed supportive.

“If she makes you happy ... that's all we want for each other is just to be happy. That’s all,” Amanda Halterman said on the show. “But I don't want none of us to stop looking for it. Don't just settle. Don't stop until you find exactly what you're looking for.”

Slaton's other older sister, Misty Wentworth, said, "It don't matter to me."

"If Andrea genuinely cares for Tammy and makes her happy, then I'll be happy with her," Slaton's mother commented.

During the season, Dalton shared that she and Slaton met while on a dating app.

"I had just got on there," Dalton explained. "I wasn't on there very long, and I saw her and she saw me and we just started talking, and it's been, like, every day since."

Slaton's romance with Dalton was her first relationship since her husband Caleb Willingham's death was announced in July 2023.

Slaton came out as pansexual in February 2021.

"It means love is love," she said on the show. "I would date anybody whether they're transgender, straight, gay ... It's about how they make me feel, not how they look."

Willingham's death led Slaton to reevaluate who she saw herself with going forward.

“A few years ago I came out as pansexual, but after Caleb passing, I just don't want to be with men anymore," she said on the show.

In May, Slaton's younger sister, Amy, revealed to PEOPLE that she got engaged to Brian Lovvorn after five months of dating.
