Recently, Djordjevic, along with 600 other basketball experts under the umbrella of the European Basketball Forum, launched an initiative aimed at regulating certain rules related to the increasing trend of young players leaving for college basketball programs.

Djordjevic began, then continued in one breath.

He emphasized the importance of small clubs receiving compensation for the young players they develop.

He stressed that this isn’t just a fight for Serbian basketball, but for basketball as a whole.

Djordjevic had been advocating for this issue even while serving as head coach of the Serbian national team.
