Alan Jackson's Emotional Tribute to His Wife
Alan Jackson was honored with the Academy of Country Music’s inaugural Lifetime Achievement Award, named in his honor, at the 60th ACM Awards on Thursday, May 8th. The event, hosted by Reba McEntire, marked a significant milestone in Jackson's career.
McEntire introduced Jackson, who then performed “Remember When” while nostalgic images played on screen. Jackson expressed his gratitude, acknowledging the honor and thanking those who supported him throughout his career. He gave special thanks to his wife, Denise, calling her his best friend since he was 17, and stating he wouldn't be where he is without her.
The 60th ACM Awards featured a "Songs of the Decades" performance by Reba McEntire, Clint Black, Dan + Shay, Wynonna Judd, LeAnn Rimes, and Little Big Town, paying tribute to 60 years of ACM Songs of the Year. Performances were also given by Lainey Wilson, Blake Shelton, Sugarland, and many others.
