A’bad records max temp of 37.5°C

Ahmedabad: The city witnessed partly cloudy sky and experienced breezy weather on Wednesday with a maximum temperature of 37.5 degrees celsius, which was 3.4 degrees below normal.

At 25.7 degrees celsius, the minimum temperature was 2.4 degrees below normal. The Met department forecast indicated chances of light to moderate rain with a maximum temperature of around 38°C on Thursday. Relative humidity (RH) was 61% at 8.30am and 40% at 5.30pm. The forecast indicated no large change in maximum temperature for the next seven days for the region. The northern limit of the southwest monsoon continues to pass through Mumbai and Ahilyanagar in Maharashtra and Puri in Odisha. An upper air cyclonic circulation formed over south Gujarat may bring moderate to heavy rainfall in parts of south Gujarat and coastal Saurashtra, the forecast indicated. At 41.1 degrees celsius, Rajkot recorded the highest maximum temperature, followed by 39.2 degrees celsius in Kandla, 38.8 degrees in Surendranagar and 38.7 degrees in Amreli, among others.
