“I’ve received two main questions and I can finally address them,” Liz, 32, began in a lengthy Instagram Story on Tuesday, May 20. “90 Day Diaries has finally aired. 1st. Yes, I am living my best dating life. However, I am taking this time to truly work on myself.”

The TLC personality explained that she “decided to part ways” with Jayson in December 2024 and moved out on her own recently.

In addition, Liz confirmed she has stomach cancer after months of hinting that she was undergoing chemotherapy.

“It’s been a long exhausting year. I’m extremely tired all the time but I have never been more focused on my health,” she explained. “I make sure to surround myself with healthy friendships. I’m so focused on my daughter and what’s best for us.”

Fans watched during the Monday, May 20, episode of 90 Day Diaries as Liz told fellow TLC alums and about relocating to Washington as her then-boyfriend, who was in the military, got restationed. “This is the happiest I’ve been in years, and right now I don’t even know if it’s going to work out anymore,” the mom of one told her friends.

Meanwhile, her friends weren’t all the way convinced and urged her to think about the decision.

“I think Liz moving all the way to Washington with Jayson is a little too soon,” Kim, 54, said in a solo confessional. “I really don’t want her to rush into another bad situation where she has to come back to San Diego with her tail between her legs.”

Jayson marked Liz’s first public relationship after calling off her August 2023 wedding from Ed “Big Ed” Brown. Liz and Ed, 59, introduced their relationship to TLC fans after meeting on season 1 of 90 Day: The Single Life in 2021. The reality TV stars got engaged in November 2021, navigating through numerous breakups and reconciliations until they ultimately called it quits.

Their final split played out during season 8 of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? in April 2024 and Liz went public with her new relationship just one month later.

“We actually met at a run. We are very active with each other. We met at an eight-mile run,” Liz later revealed about how she and Jayson met to TV Insider in a July 2024 interview.

She also spilled the full timeline of how she went from nearly marrying Ed to landing in a whole new relationship. “I was supposed to get married in August, Ed and I separated, and I started dating my boyfriend in October,” she told the outlet. “It happened really fast. I wasn’t looking. I planned on being single. We just hung out and were inseparable. Since then, I truly feel like when I read these sayings of like, someone can give you everything you’ve needed in three months that someone couldn’t in three years, I truly believe that.”
