HONG KONG, Feb. 5 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.1 jolted Halmahera, Indonesia at 03:12:30 GMT on Wednesday, the GFZ German Research Center for Geosciences said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 111.0 km, was initially determined to be at 1.62 degrees north latitude and 127.21 degrees east longitude. ■
