is coming to save our summer plans. While I love this dancing, deadly doll, I also recognize that she is one of the popular girls. She sits at the murder doll table with Chucky and Tiffany from the franchise. That cool table is now making room for the original Annabelle doll because of the American leg of her new Eras tour. This made me realize so many evil dolls never get any press.

So, I’m here with a streaming guide highlighting some demonic doll activity in the forgotten trunks in your attic. These dolls kill for our enjoyment. All that they ask in return is that you play with them… Or, I guess, hit play in this case. Check out these five deadly dolls this weekend and embrace some chaos.

Where You Can Watch: AMC+ and Shudder

A man returns to his hometown looking for answers after his wife’s gruesome murder. He discovers his family is connected to the murder of a ventriloquist named Mary Shaw, whose ghost has sinister plans for their entire bloodline.

I appreciate Ms. Shaw having multiple dolls to do her bidding because that heightens the drama. I also love that she’s not above getting her own ghost hands dirty in her quest for revenge. So, while is not my favorite James Wan film, I see the icon through the trees. As an aspiring older woman, I find it inspirational that Mary had hobbies and an active afterlife. May this put all of our enemies on notice that death is not the end of a grudge. This reminds me that I need to update the list of people I would like to haunt someday.

Five people receive invites to a mysterious doll museum, where they’re picked off one by one. I hit play on this, thinking it would be like a South Korean and I was excited. What I got was another tale of revenge-driven dolls, and I love to see that, too. The dolls are deadly and on the right side of this issue. Plus, they’re gorgeous. I was rooting for them as they tormented these guests and started grabbing people in closets. While it’s hard to ignore that this movie needed more money to pull off what it was attempting to do, the final product is still a whimsically evil time.

If you want drama, revenge, and dolls on a mission, then you might want to give this a whirl. It was like a soap opera with a high body count, so I lived my best life.

Where You Can Watch: MGM+, Pluto TV, and Tubi

When a family seeks shelter in a mansion during a storm, a child discovers that the owners have a collection of haunted dolls. This 1980s moment is chaotic even before it begins to turn people into dolls. The family is more abusive than dysfunctional. So, it tracks that the little girl would choose to hang out with strangers and their unsettling dolls. This movie also makes me laugh because the one adult who believes the kid’s fantastical tales is basically an immature manchild. This is lucky for him because he meets a much different fate than the other grown-ups who stumbled upon this pack of dangerous dolls. That’s right. This movie has a doll gang dragging people to their demise.

It doesn’t stop there, though. The elderly couple who run the murder mansion turn the victims into toys. There’s arguably too much going on in this movie, and that’s probably why it’s so popular.

A man buys a doll factory in Mexico, leading his daughter to befriend a doll possessed by Sanzia, a devil child. In return, the cursed doll begins to use the kid for its own deadly plans. This title stars Denise Crosby, and the late Rip Torn randomly pops up a few times. This movie is definitely one of the knockoffs that led most of us to realize that sometimes a brand name is the best option. It is also very dated, filled with outdated tropes, and has some of the shakiest dialogue I’ve heard this month. However, this doll is dangerous, and that should be celebrated as we question her D.J. Tanner vibe. I might be so bold as to also say this supernatural mess might be in the DNA of my least favorite movies.

While I cannot say it’s a great time, I do think it’s an interesting watch if you’re in the mood for some early 90s chaos.

Where You Can Watch: AMC+, Peacock, Plex, Prime Video, The Roku Channel, Sling TV, and Tubi

A ventriloquist who has an unusual relationship with his doll renews his romance with a former flame. Maybe it’s because I’m part of the generation, or maybe it’s due to ventriloquist dolls always giving off a murder vibe. Either way, this is my favorite movie on this streaming guide, and I wish I grew up with this odd bird in my rotation of horror movies. As someone late to this movie, I need to know why everyone was gatekeeping this Anthony Hopkins performance. Young Hopkins triggered a talent crush that is doomed because this movie came out before I was born.

My yearning is over forty years too late, but I understand why Ann-Margaret’s character was about this weird man and his dummy. I also would have thrown it all away and discovered what else those magic hands are capable of.

is out now in theaters.
