Villa's Last-Gasp Heroics: Buendia Stuns Arsenal With Final Kick!

Aston Villa delivered a stunning blow to Arsenal's Premier League title aspirations with a dramatic last-gasp winner from Emi Buendia, securing a 2-1 victory at Villa Park. The crucial win propelled Unai Emery's side into second place in the Premier League table, now sitting just three points adrift of the leaders, Arsenal.
The match saw Matty Cash open the scoring for Aston Villa, giving the hosts an initial advantage. Arsenal, despite having an Eberechi Eze goal disallowed for offside in the first half, found an equalizer through Leandro Trossard, who netted his sixth goal of the season and his 50th in the Premier League. Trossard's strike seemed to have salvaged a point for Arsenal, who had shown renewed vigor after Mikel Arteta introduced Viktor Gyokeres and Trossard after the break. Arsenal pressed for a winner, with Emi Martinez making a brilliant save to tip Martin Odegaard's shot over the bar.
However, the dramatic climax arrived in the 94th minute. After Arsenal failed to clear their lines effectively, substitute Emi Buendia seized the opportunity, curling in a shot that sent Villa Park into raptures. This decisive goal marked Arsenal's first league defeat since their 1-0 loss to Liverpool in August, contrasting sharply with their recent strong performances against Bayern Munich and Tottenham.
The victory extended Aston Villa's impressive run, marking their seventh consecutive win across all competitions and their ninth win in their last ten league matches, underscoring their formidable form under Unai Emery.
