Vanessa Hudgens Welcomes Second Baby, Shares Wild Labor Experience

Actress and singer Vanessa Hudgens and her husband, former professional baseball player Cole Tucker, have announced the birth of their second child. Hudgens shared the news on Saturday, November 29, with an Instagram photo showing herself in a hospital bed, hooked up to monitors and seemingly holding hands with Tucker. In her caption, the High School Musical alum, also known for pop songs such as 2008’s “Sneakernight” and 2006’s “Come Back to Me,” expressed her awe, stating, “Well…. I did it. Had another baby!!! What a wild ride labor is. Big shout out to all the moms. It’s truly incredible what our bodies can do.”
Tucker, who most recently played for the Los Angeles Angels, retired from professional baseball in May. The couple had first publicly shared the news of Hudgens’ second pregnancy in July, debuting her baby bump through a maternity photo shoot on social media. Throughout her pregnancy, Hudgens offered fun glimpses into her life while expecting, including dressing up as Mother Earth for Halloween, painting her belly as Earth, and sharing vacation photos from a September wedding she attended in Italy. Their first child was welcomed in July 2024, and the couple has since kept personal details private.
Beyond her growing family, Hudgens has maintained an active professional life. Last year, as “Goldfish,” she was crowned the winner of season 11 of The Masked Singer. She also leads the upcoming ’60s thriller, Quiet Storm, which marks the directorial debut of Anthony Thorne, who co-stars alongside Mira Sorvino. Production for Quiet Storm had wrapped as of July, with Nick Cassavetes presenting and executive producing. In the film, Hudgens portrays Abby Lynche, a romance novelist who finds herself confined during 1969’s Hurricane Camille, confronting personal revelations amidst social upheaval and women’s liberation as the storm rages outside.
