US-Israel Blitz: Iran's Secret Missile Strongholds Crippled as Ambassadors Vow Relentless Counter-Attack
The ongoing US-Israel-Iran conflict has escalated, with Israel reporting hundreds of Iranian missile and drone attacks resulting in casualties. This follows extensive US-Israeli strikes on Iranian military targets and Iran's widespread retaliation across the Middle East. US Secretary of War Pete Hegseth announced complete US control of the skies, threatening overwhelming force following reports of Iran's Supreme Leader's death, while humanitarian concerns rise amidst heavy casualties in Iran.
Israel's Ambassador to Ghana, Liberia, and Sierra Leone, Roey Gilad, disclosed significant details about the escalating conflict between the United States, Israel, and Iran while speaking in Accra on March 5. He revealed that Israel has faced hundreds of retaliatorymissile and drone attacks since the latest escalation.
Over 180 missiles and more than 120 unmanned aerial vehicles have targeted Israeli territory, resulting in 11 fatalities and approximately 120 injuries. Ambassador Gilad emphasized the Israeli civilian population's unwavering stamina and resilience in the face of these attacks.
The conflict intensified dramatically in late February 2026, following coordinated airstrikes by the United States and Israel against Iranian military and nuclear-relatedtargets. These extensive strikes reportedly hit over 2,000 strategic locations, including missile batteries, command centers, air defense systems, and naval assets.
In response, Iran launched large-scale retaliatory attacks utilizing ballistic missiles and armed drones against Israel and U.S. military facilities across the Middle East.
Some missiles and drones successfully penetrated Israeli air defense systems, striking civilian areas in cities such as Tel Aviv.
Beyond Israel, Iran extended its retaliation by targeting U.S. military installations and allied infrastructure across the Gulf region, including locations in Qatar, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Iraq. These attacks compelled several countries to activate air defense systems and temporarily close their airspace.
During one wave of assaults, Gulf defense systems reportedly intercepted more than 186 ballistic missiles and over 800 drones launched by Iran towards regional targets.
