Tunisia Emerges as Premier 'Safe Choice' Travel Destination Globally
Tunisia has been recognized as the leading international "Safe Choice" destination for Chinese tourists during the mid-autumn holidays, according to a recent ranking released by Tongcheng Travel. This significant achievement places Tunisia at the top of a list of five preferred destinations for the period of October 1-18, surpassing popular choices such as Japan, Spain, Vietnam, and New Zealand. The ranking, compiled by China's leading online travel agency, highlights a notable shift in travel preferences among Chinese visitors.
The report from Tongcheng Travel indicates a growing trend among Chinese tourists to opt for high-quality and long-haul destinations. This preference has driven considerable growth in booking rates, particularly observed in the Middle East and Africa regions, which posted the highest increases. Tunisia's position as the number one "Safe Choice" destination underscores its appeal as a secure and desirable location, aligning with the evolving demands of Chinese international travelers seeking unique and enriching experiences further afield.
