Tinubu's 2027 Campaign Ignites: Northern Bloc Plans Massive Vote Mobilization

Ahead of the 2027 general elections, the AA YARI Solidarity Movement (AA YASOMO), a Northern-based support group of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has announced its comprehensive strategy to secure millions of votes for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima. The movement's primary focus will be mobilizing support across all 19 Northern states. This significant declaration was made by Alhaji Umar Danmaigadi Moriki, the National Chairman of AA YASOMO, following the organization's inaugural meeting held in Abuja.

Moriki expressed strong approval for the appointment of former Zamfara State Governor, Senator Abdul’aziz Yari, as the Director-General of the APC Presidential Campaign Council. He lauded Senator Yari as a distinguished grassroots politician and a prominent national figure, recognizing his extensive political networks throughout the country. Moriki affirmed that Yari's leadership would be instrumental in guiding the party to victory in the upcoming elections.

The core mission of the AA YASOMO, as articulated by Moriki, is to galvanize unwavering support for President Tinubu’s re-election, operating under the strategic direction of Senator Yari. A crucial aspect of their campaign involves sensitizing Nigerians on the profound importance of Tinubu’s continuity in governance and highlighting the substantial advantages this offers. Moriki also conveyed his profound satisfaction with the current administration's policies and programmes, specifically commending President Tinubu’s economic reforms, substantial infrastructural investments, and robust measures implemented to strengthen the nation’s fiscal policy.

Detailing the group's formidable mobilization strategy, Moriki confirmed that AA YASOMO has meticulously established a robust organizational structure spanning across the entire Northern region. During their inaugural meeting, members thoroughly reviewed and discussed various strategies aimed at expanding the group’s grassroots mobilization efforts to ensure APC’s success at every level in the lead-up to the 2027 elections. These structures are firmly in place at the Zonal, State, Local Government Area (LGA), and Ward levels, ensuring comprehensive reach.

Further elaborating on the organizational depth, Moriki revealed the specific executive composition: each Zonal level features 17 executives, while each of the 19 States, LGAs, and Wards will have 32 executives. He also announced that the group is poised to commence the official inauguration of these zonal, state, local government, and ward executives across the 19 Northern states in the near future. Moriki confidently stated that with these well-organized structures and arrangements, the AA YASOMO is fully capable of mobilizing millions of votes for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima in the pivotal 2027 general elections.
