Summer Walker Dominates: R&B Queen Achieves Historic No. 1 Album Trilogy

Summer Walker has achieved a significant milestone on Billboard’s Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart with her third full-length studio album, Finally Over It, debuting at the No. 1 spot on the list dated November 29. The album commenced its chart run by accumulating an impressive 77,000 equivalent album units in the United States during the week of November 14–20, according to Luminate. This achievement marks the highest total for any R&B album by a woman in 2025, underscoring Walker's considerable impact on the music industry.
A detailed breakdown of Finally Over It’s first-week performance reveals that streaming activity was the primary driver, contributing a substantial 69,000 units, equivalent to 91.9 million official on-demand audio and video streams of the album’s songs. Traditional album sales accounted for 8,000 units, with track-equivalent album units contributing a negligible amount to the total. It is important to note that one unit is equivalent to one album sale, 10 individual tracks sold from an album, or 1,250 paid/subscription tier or 3,750 ad-supported tier official on-demand audio and video streams for a single song on the album.
Finally Over It was initially released on November 14 in various formats to cater to a broad audience. This included a standard 14-song digital download album, an 18-song download and streaming edition that incorporated four additional tracks, and an 18-song physical edition available on CD and vinyl, which also featured four other unique tracks. Expanding its availability, two deluxe editions were subsequently released: an Apple-exclusive version with five bonus audio tracks on November 18, and a widely available download/streaming deluxe version offering three other bonus audio cuts on November 19.
With Finally Over It, Summer Walker secures her third No. 1 album on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart, completing what is now a remarkable streak of chart-topping R&B projects that reinforce her status as one of the genre’s most influential contemporary voices.
