Style Kings & Queens: Akin Faminu & Kiky Festus Dominate Lagos Fashion Week in LFJ!

Lagos Fashion Week 2025 witnessed a striking display of style and elegance as Akin Faminu and Kiky Festus graced the runway, showcasing impeccable fashion from LFJ’s latest collection. The duo captivated audiences with their coordinated yet individually expressive ensembles from the "Orient of Africa” collection, marking a significant five-year anniversary for the esteemed designer, LFJ.
Kiky Festus’s gown was a true masterpiece, instantly drawing attention with its intricate design. The dress featured elegant peach and blush pink spirals that gracefully twisted across her torso, meticulously formed into structured pleats. These pleats fanned out with almost architectural precision, reminiscent of delicate origami, creating the impression that every fold was intentionally crafted for runway performance.
Akin Faminu embodied the adventurous spirit possible in menswear, presenting an equally daring and sophisticated look. He wore sheer white trousers paired with a matching crinkled jacket designed to move fluidly with every step. A contrasting brown patterned panel ran down the center of his outfit, adding depth and visual interest. The ensemble was perfectly accessorized with a wide-brimmed black hat and dark sunglasses, injecting a sharp, edgy flair. Reflecting on the experience, Akin shared, “We were taken on a journey to the ‘Orient of Africa’ with the LFJ debut Menswear collection and of course I was wearing an Off the Runway Piece from this beautiful collection.”
LFJ’s "Orient of Africa" collection is defined by its emphasis on rich textures, inventive layering, and bold sculptural shapes. The presentation by Akin and Kiky illustrated that these garments are not merely designed to be observed but to be fully experienced. Their confident presence and the dynamic nature of the clothing have set a high bar, leaving fashion enthusiasts eagerly anticipating what this stylish duo will bring to the runway next at Lagos Fashion Week 2025.
