Trae Young Set to Make Season Debut Against Jazz

Washington Wizards Star Trae Young is to make his debut on Thursday night, against Utah Jazz at home.

It will be his first game action since December 27, as he has been sidelined by MCL and quad injuries in his right leg.

The four-time All-Star revealed his return by posting himself on Instagram training in Wizards gear with the caption "March 5th."

Wizards Coach Brian Keefe later corroborated the plan for Young's Thursday debut, indicating the point guard is expected to play a restricted 17-20 minutes.

Young was traded to Washington from Atlanta on Jan. 7. He was on the bench and not in uniform for Monday's game.

Despite his recent injuries and limited appearances, Young has maintained a strong performance this season, averaging 19.3 points and 8.9 assists in 10 games.

The Wizards, currently holding a 16-43 record, are deep into a rebuilding phase.

The franchise hopes that the in-season acquisitions of Young and Anthony Davis will contribute significantly to their future rebound.

Anthony Davis, traded to Washington from the Dallas Mavericks on February 4, has not yet made his debut for the Wizards.
