Chloe Fineman is leaving Saturday Night Live after seven seasons, becoming the first cast member confirmed to exit the long-running NBC sketch comedy series ahead of Season 52.
The comedian announced her departure in an emotional Instagram post, calling her time on the show “the greatest privilege of my life” and saying it felt like the right moment to begin a new chapter.
Entertainment outlets, including Deadline, first reported her exit and revealedshe is in talks to join Netflix's adaptation of Harlan Coben's Myron Bolitar series.
Fineman joined SNL as a featured player in 2019 and quickly became one of the show's standout performers through her celebrity impressions, portraying figures including Drew Barrymore, Jennifer Coolidge, Britney Spears, Nicole Kidman and Timothée Chalamet.
She was promoted to the main cast in 2021 and remained a regular throughout her seven-season run. Her farewell message reflected onthe demanding pace of the show and the close relationships she built with the cast and crew.
While Netflix has not officially confirmed her casting, multiple reports say Fineman is negotiating to join the upcoming drama series Myron Bolitar, based on Harlan Coben's bestselling novels. If the deal is finalised, it would mark her first major television role since leaving Saturday Night Live. The reported project would add to an expanding slate that already includes Freakier Friday and other film and voice acting roles.
