Shocking Disappearance: Gospel Musician Carol Kadzuwa Vanishes With K52 Million Payout in Malawi
Gospel musician Carol Kadzuwa, renowned for songs about faith and integrity, has reportedly vanished just days before a K52 million payout was due from the Bank Nkhonde savings group, where she served as treasurer. Her disappearance has sparked a major scandal, as her role demanded trust, transparency, and accountability, responsibilities she is now accused of breaching.
The funds were scheduled for distribution on January 6, 2026, but Kadzuwa did not appear. Reports indicate that her last WhatsApp activity was on January 5, and since then, her phone has been switched off, leaving members unable to contact her. The abrupt disappearance has raised fears that the act may have been premeditated, rather than accidental.
Desperate Search and Growing Concerns
Members of the savings group have launched efforts to locate Kadzuwa, sending individuals to her usual hangouts and contacting friends, associates, and establishments she frequents, but all attempts have been unsuccessful. The continued unknown whereabouts of the musician have intensified concerns and suspicions that she may have deliberately absconded with the funds.
Social media has amplified the scandal, with widespread outrage over the betrayal. Many users expressed disbelief that a gospel artist—typically seen as a moral guide and trusted figure—could disappear at a critical moment when members were expecting their savings.
Betrayal and Public Outcry
Carol Kadzuwa, reportedly close to popular musician Miracle Chinga, has remained silent, offering no explanation, apology, or reassurance to the distressed contributors. For members of Bank Nkhonde, the lack of communication is both devastating and infuriating.
One contributor lamented, “We trusted her with our money because we trusted her character. Now both are missing.” What was supposed to be a day of financial relief and celebration has turned into a traumatic ordeal, with anxiety giving way to anger and suspicion. Until Kadzuwa resurfaces and accounts for the K52 million, her disappearance remains a baffling mystery and a serious breach of trust, faith, and financial responsibility.
