In this edition, we turn our attention to Flora Mutahi, a Kenyan entrepreneur whose work in tea manufacturing has helped shift the narrative from raw commodity export to value-added production within Africa.
In an industry long dominated by bulk exports and multinational processors, Flora Mutahi took a different path.
Her work represents a significant shift in how African agricultural products are positioned, moving from raw exports to finished, market-ready goods that retain more value within the continent.
