Shaboozey & Jelly Roll Dominate Country Airwaves, Hitting #1!

Shaboozey and Jelly Roll have achieved a significant milestone, with their collaborative track “Amen” ascending to the No. 1 spot on Billboard’s Country Airplay chart dated March 28. The song saw a 2% increase in audience impressions, reaching 32.9 million between March 13-19, according to Luminate. Co-written by both artists along with four others, “Amen” marks Shaboozey’s third Country Airplay leader. His previous chart-toppers include “Good News,” which reigned for two weeks in September 2025, and “A Bar Song (Tipsy),” which held the top position for seven weeks from August to September 2024.

Jelly Roll further solidified his impressive record, earning his ninth No. 1 in as many visits to the chart, a streak that commenced with his first No. 1 hit, “Son of a Sinner,” in 2023. This achievement represents the longest active streak among all artists on the Country Airplay chart. For context, Luke Combs previously held the record for the longest uninterrupted run of 14 No. 1 promoted singles from 2017-22.

Both Shaboozey and Jelly Roll have also set notable Country Airplay milestones. Shaboozey’s “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” reached No. 1 in a rapid 13 weeks, a pace matched or exceeded by only 5% of No. 1 hits since 2015, and became the list’s longest-leading breakthrough hit. Jelly Roll’s “Liar,” which was his longest-ruling song for six weeks in February-March 2025, completed its climb to the top in 14 weeks, a rate achieved by approximately 7% of leaders in the same period. Historically, since the chart’s inception in 1990, No. 1 songs have taken an average of 21 weeks to reach the peak.

Beyond radio success, Shaboozey made a significant live appearance at RodeoHouston on March 13, where he hosted a Spotify event backstage before performing “Amen” for a reported crowd exceeding 67,000 attendees.

In other chart news, Tucker Wetmore secured his third Country Airplay top 10 hit as his song “Brunette” climbed from No. 12 to No. 10, garnering 17 million audience impressions, an 8% increase. This track, co-written by Chris LaCorte, Chase McGill, Josh Miller, and Blake Pendergrass, follows his previous top 10 entries from last year, “Wind Up Missin’ You” and “3,2,1,” both of which peaked at No. 2.

Kane Brown also marked his return to the chart, launching “Woman” at No. 23 on Country Airplay. This debut comes a decade and a month after his initial appearance on the survey. The Chattanooga, Tenn., native has accumulated an impressive 14 top 10s, including 12 No. 1 hits, and recently announced the renewal of his partnership with Sony Music Nashville.
