Reality Star's 'Unrealistic' School Demands Spark Fierce Debate

Former Love Island star Montana Brown has recently stirred debate among parents and educators alike after openly sharing her frustrations regarding the search for a primary school for her three-year-old son, Jude. Brown, who also has an eight-month-old daughter Miley with fiancé Mark O'Connor, utilized social media platforms, including TikTok and Instagram, to outline her strict criteria for her son's future educational environment.
Montana's primary concerns centered on three key areas: nutrition, the quality of teaching, and the extent of screen time. She emphasized that Jude currently has no screen time at home and expressed a strong desire for this rule to be maintained at school. During visits to several school open days, she was taken aback to learn that screen time, particularly through devices like Chrome Books for homework in older years, would be an integral part of school life. Brown contended that her son's time would be more beneficially spent engaging in activities like sports, rather than looking at screens. She further stated her belief that if anyone were to introduce screen-based entertainment, such as watching films, it should be her on weekends as a deliberate choice.
Beyond screen time, Brown also heavily criticized schools for regularly providing children with sugary snacks like biscuits and donuts. She argued that such treats are detrimental to children's health and can negatively impact their concentration levels. Similar to her stance on screen time, she expressed a desire to be the one to offer these occasional treats to her son on weekends.
