Rapper Offset Hospitalized After Florida Shooting

Rapper Offset, a prominent member of the hip-hop trio Migos, was involved in a shooting incident on Monday, April 6, outside the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida. The incident, which occurred at a valet area after 7 p.m., resulted in non-life-threatening injuries to the artist.
Following the event, Offset was promptly transported to Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood, where he is currently receiving medical care. His representative confirmed to Billboard that he is stable and being closely monitored, reassuring fans about his condition.
Seminole Police were immediately on the scene to address the situation, which was quickly contained. Authorities have detained two individuals in connection with the shooting, and an investigation is actively underway.
Despite the incident, police confirmed that the site is secure, posing no ongoing threat to the public, and hotel operations have continued as normal.
The initial report of the shooting was broken by TMZ, with confirmations subsequently issued by both Offset's representative and the Seminole County Police.
Offset, whose real name is Kiari Cephus, is widely recognized for his work with Migos, alongside fellow rappers Quavo and Takeoff.
The trio achieved significant success in the music industry, scoring four top 10 hits on the Billboard Hot 100, including their three-week No. 1 single, “Bad and Boujee,” in 2017.
Tragically, the group faced a profound loss when Takeoff was fatally shot in Houston in November 2022.
Beyond his group endeavors, Offset has also made a name for himself as a solo artist, with two top 10 features: “ZEZE” (with Kodak Black and Travis Scott), which peaked at No. 2, and “Taste” (with Tyga), reaching No. 8, both in 2018.
In his personal life, Offset was previously married to acclaimed rapper Cardi B, with whom he shares three children: Kulture, Wave, and Blossom. He is also a father to three other children from previous relationships: Jordan, Kody, and Kalea.
The artist's recent shooting marks another significant event in his high-profile career, drawing attention from fans and media alike as the investigation progresses.
