Oyo APC's Fiery Protest Ignites Political Firestorm, PDP Slams Opponents

Hundreds of members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State took to the streets of Ibadan on Monday, staging a protest against the alleged intimidation of Honourable Ibrahim Shittu. Shittu, who represents the Saki West state constituency, has been a vocal critic of the approval of a N300 billion loan request by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)-led administration in the state. The protest, which originated at the APC secretariat in Oke-Ado, Ibadan, concluded at the Mokola roundabout within the Ibadan North Local Government Area.
The demonstrators voiced strong concerns regarding the state's escalating debt profile and cautioned the leadership of the state House of Assembly against any attempts to intimidate the APC member for his principled stance on the controversial loan approval.

Signed by the Majority Leader, Sanjo Adedoyin, and the Chairman of the House Committee on Information, Media, Public Affairs and ICT, Waheed Akintayo, the statement refuted the lawmaker's claims. The Assembly maintained that the loan was, in fact, approved during a plenary session by the majority of members present and that the approval process was transparent and not conducted in secrecy, contrary to Shittu's assertions.
Mr. Olayide Abas, the chairman of the APC in Oyo State, further amplified the party's grievances, criticizing the current administration's rapidly increasing debt burden. He asserted that there was
