Oasis Reignites! Iconic Band Plots Massive Comeback Gigs & New Sound

The music world continues to be abuzz with speculation surrounding Oasis. Just weeks after their sell-out 41-date reunion tour kicked off, rumors circulated about future plans for Noel and Liam Gallagher. Contacts suggest offers for four massive shows at Knebworth House next year, marking the 30th anniversary of their iconic 1996 concerts, potentially surpassing Robbie Williams' three shows at the venue. Additionally, whispers about a possible residency at the Etihad Stadium, home to their beloved Manchester City, gained traction online with fake posters fueling fan excitement. However, sources close to the band indicate that Noel and Liam are not considering any bookings for 2026, opting for a well-earned holiday after the current tour concludes. While they are aware of the speculation and fan desire to “keep the magic going,” the decision rests with them to either conclude this chapter or continue. Previously, offers from major festivals like Coachella and Benicassim have been stonewalled.
During their current tour, Liam Gallagher has faced a ban on throwing his signature tambourine and maracas into the crowd. This decision came after incidents at Wembley where fans mobbed a female fan to snatch his maracas, leading Liam to publicly state he was told “Don’t do any of that s**t anymore, because you don’t know how to behave yourselves.” At the Murrayfield Stadium gig in Scotland, Liam also vocally berated Edinburgh Council Chiefs, who had reportedly branded Oasis fans as “fat, drunk, and rowdy” in leaked documents. Liam retorted by calling the Council “f****** slags” and mocked the Fringe festival. In a lighter moment, Noel Gallagher's backstage rider included the retro snack, Wagon Wheels, much to the surprise of his podcaster pal Matt Morgan. Furthermore, British singing sensation Susan Boyle expressed her delight after Liam Gallagher dedicated the song “Stand By Me” to her at Oasis' final Murrayfield Stadium concert, making her day.
The Oasis reunion tour has also indirectly sparked creativity elsewhere, with Kasabian frontman Serge Pizzorno revealing that the band has fast-tracked their next album for a 2025 release, inspired by seeing Oasis perform. This new record aims to become their eighth successive No.1 album. Kasabian also teamed up with Cristale for a reimagined version of their track “G.O.A.T.,” which will serve as the new title track for the 2025/26 Premier League season on Sky Sports. Pizzorno also reflected on the emotional departure of Leicester City legend Jamie Vardy from the club.
Elsewhere in music, Florence + The Machine are teasing new music three years after their fifth album, 'Dance Fever,' with frontwoman Florence Welch posting a cryptic video hinting at the project. Jade Thirlwall is set to become the first Little Mix member to release a solo album, with 'That’s Showbiz Baby' dropping on September 12. Her boyfriend, Jordan Stephens of Rizzle Kicks, will make a special “blink-and-you’ll-miss-it” cameo in her upcoming music video. Pop superstar Beyoncé demonstrated her appreciation for her team, splashing out thousands on luxury Louis Vuitton gifts for her dancers after wrapping up the epic 'Cowboy Carter' world tour. Joe Jonas and Demi Lovato delighted fans by reuniting on stage for songs from their 2008 Disney movie 'Camp Rock,' fueling speculation about a potential third 'Camp Rock' film. Looking ahead, My Chemical Romance announced they will headline Wembley Stadium on July 10 and 11 next year, celebrating two decades since “Welcome To The Black Parade.” New music is also on the horizon from Tom Grennan, Cat Burns, Bambie Thug, Moio, Ashnikko, and a 20th-anniversary edition of Supergrass's 'Road To Rouen.' A new British rock, hip-hop, and grunge fusion band, Velour Fog, is also emerging with producer Nick Tauber. Perrie Edwards, another ex-Little Mix member, is releasing her new track, “If He Wanted To He Would,” aiming to surpass her previous chart success. A biopic celebrating the life and career of the late Sinead O’Connor is also in production, directed by Josephine Decker.
In celebrity news, Jamie Dornan is promoting Diet Coke, revealing his passion for cold-water swimming. Angelina Jolie is reportedly preparing to sell her Hollywood home, a $24.5 million property she purchased in 2017, once owned by Cecil B. DeMille, as her youngest child approaches 18. 'Love Island' star Maura Higgins shared her experience of suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder due to bad advice and unhappiness after gaining fame, now working with a trusted team. Jenna Ortega showcased bleached eyebrows while promoting the second series of her hit Netflix show 'Wednesday' in South Korea, discussing her character's contentious relationship with Morticia. Rumors continue to swirl about Kylie Jenner’s relationship status with Timothee Chalamet, though she appeared unbothered on a night out.
On the big screen, the horror movie 'Weapons,' starring Josh Brolin and Julia Garner, topped the UK box office, fending off 'Freakier Friday.' Other notable films included 'The Fantastic Four: First Steps' and 'The Naked Gun.' The critically acclaimed immersive play 'You Me Bum Bum Train,' known for turning guests into show stars, is in early talks for a Las Vegas residency with MGM, with superfan James Corden reportedly facilitating connections. Finally, comedian Chabuddy G has been named the official PR for England's Red Roses, the women's rugby team, filming a hilarious video to promote their upcoming Women’s Rugby World Cup campaign. In a rather unusual pre-wedding ritual, Charli XCX and her fiancé George Daniel watched a horror movie about a serial killer who targets couples the night before their wedding. And in a touching tribute, Metallica's Robert Trujillo shared a heartwarming anecdote from Ozzy Osbourne's funeral, suggesting the late rocker was “pranking” them from beyond the grave, with weather changes coinciding with eulogies.
