Mungai Eve & Director Trevor's Bitter Split: Heartbreak, Warnings, and Help Conditions Emerge

The highly publicized breakup between prominent Kenyan digital content creators Eve Mungai and Director Trevor continues to be a source of public speculation and ongoing drama, with both parties issuing statements and refutations regarding their split and its aftermath.
Eve Mungai recently took to social media to emphatically dismiss persistent online rumors suggesting she was heartbroken, filled with regret, or battling depression following her separation from Director Trevor. Labeling these claims as "very fake news" and "laughable," the popular YouTuber firmly stated that she had not made any emotional confessions. She expressed shock at the fabrications, sarcastically questioning, “I’m even surprised, how would I sit down and say something like that?” and responded with a resolute “God forbid” to allegations of depression. Eve has consistently projected an image of confidence, using sarcasm to push back against the circulating rumors since the former power duo went their separate ways earlier this year.
Adding another layer to the public discourse, Eve Mungai also issued a stern warning to an unnamed individual, widely speculated by fans to be Director Trevor, accusing them of "dragging her name through the mud." In a viral Instagram video, she declared, “Don’t mistake my silence for weakness. I got receipts, and if I ever decide to speak, the truth will be out there.” This bold statement ignited social media, with many followers urging her to release the hinted-at evidence, believing it could expose hidden details and potentially rewrite the narrative of their high-profile breakup. Others, however, suggested it was time for both parties to move on.
Director Trevor, CEO of the Content Creators Association, also broke his silence regarding the rumors surrounding Eve. His comments followed speculation fueled by fellow content creator Geoffrey Mosiria, who suggested Eve was struggling emotionally. In an interview with Milele FM’s Ankali Ray, Trevor refuted Mosiria’s claims, clarifying that their conversation was strictly business-related and had no connection to Eve’s personal well-being or their past relationship. He also dismissed notions of him creating personal space for Eve in his life or returning their former joint YouTube channel.
While Trevor affirmed his willingness to support Eve professionally, citing his role as CEO of the Content Creators Association, he stressed that such assistance would be strictly on professional terms and that she had not yet sought his help. When questioned about his current wife, Kiki Yvonne’s, comfort with him working with Eve, Trevor deferred to Kiki, stating, “She should talk to her, the manager. She manages everything.” Kiki then joined the conversation, firmly asserting her role and making it clear that any future professional interactions would have to be initiated through her. “I should be asked first. I don’t know if he has an ex, but if he has one, she should look for me because it’s work,” she explained. Kiki also expressed full confidence in her marriage, subtly hinting at plans for a child during an upcoming vacation, a remark seen by some as a subtle jab at the ongoing drama.
The split between Eve and Director Trevor, who once dominated Kenya’s digital space, shocked their massive online following. Trevor subsequently rebranded and took over their joint channel, while Eve launched her own independent projects. The public continues to closely monitor their interactions and statements, with fans eager for clarity amidst the persistent speculation and veiled warnings.
