Airports Company South Africa confirmed the disruptions are linked to UAE airspace closures, reflecting the scale of regional turmoil.

Ethiopian Airlines has halted flights to Middle Eastern destinations including Amman, Beirut, Tel Aviv, Doha, Kuwait City, Dubai, Sharjah, Abu Dhabi, and Dammam.

Reports indicate 58 people were injured, including at least one Ethiopian national, while UAE defenses intercepted hundreds of missiles and drones, heightening concerns for travelers.
