Marvel Shocker! Jessica Jones Makes Triumphant Return to MCU in 'Daredevil: Born Again' Season 2 First Look!

New York City is poised for an impending war, necessitating the aid of Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox) and his allies. Fortunately, the acclaimed detective Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter) is making her much-anticipated Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) return in 'Daredevil: Born Again' Season 2. Entertainment Weekly has provided the first glimpse into the beloved show's upcoming season, including a debut image of the long-awaited reunion between Matt and Jessica.
This is not the only reunion featured in the new images. While Jessica's appearance shows Matt in his updated Daredevil suit, other images reveal him going undercover with his longtime partner in crime-fighting, Karen Page (Deborah Ann Woll), who sports a new red wig signifying her expanded role in Season 2. The new visual content also features Wilson Fisk (Vincent D'Onofrio) and his complex wife, Vanessa (Ayelet Zurer), introducing two new characters for the season. These include Lili Taylor ('The Conjuring') as Marge McCaffrey, the current governor of New York, and Matthew Lillard ('Scream') as Mr. Charles, Fisk's new rival.
With 'Daredevil: Born Again' slated as an annual release series for Marvel Television, Season 2 is set to continue directly from the conclusion of Season 1. Just as it seemed Wilson Fisk was attempting to reform as mayor, leaving his Kingpin persona behind, he instead amasses the most corrupt individuals in New York to declare an all-out war on costumed vigilantes. This includes figures like Daredevil, The Punisher (Jon Bernthal), and even Spider-Man (Tom Holland).
In response to Fisk's declaration of war, Matt Murdock, with Karen Page once again by his side, begins the arduous task of assembling a formidable team to defend New York City. Fans who harbored concerns about a repeat of Netflix's cancellation of the original 'Daredevil' series can rest assured, as 'Born Again' has already received a green light for a third season, with potential for further installments. This confirms that 'The Man Without Fear' will continue his journey beyond his reunion with Jessica Jones.
Jessica Jones' return also opens significant doors for potential appearances from Luke Cage (Mike Colter) and/or Iron Fist (Finn Jones), signaling a possible official reunion of 'The Defenders'. More seasons inherently mean greater opportunities for these and other characters to team up with Daredevil. Audiences will have to wait and see what Marvel has planned. 'Daredevil: Born Again' Season 2 is scheduled to premiere on March 4, 2026, exclusively on Disney+.
