Legendary Rock Icons Rush Expand Massive 50th Anniversary Tour with 17 New Cities!

Legendary rock band Rush has significantly expanded their highly anticipated "Fifty Something 2026" arena tour, adding another 17 dates to their already growing schedule. This extensive tour marks a momentous occasion for founding members bassist/singer Geddy Lee and guitarist/singer Alex Lifeson, as they celebrate the band's 50th anniversary and pay heartfelt tribute to their late, iconic drummer and lyricist, Neil Peart.
Initially announced with 12 shows, the tour quickly saw an expansion, and now, with the latest additions revealed on Monday morning, October 20th, the Canadian rock icons are set to perform across numerous new cities. These newly added stops include Philadelphia, Boston, Montreal, Washington, D.C., Atlanta, Edmonton, Seattle, and Vancouver. Furthermore, new dates have been confirmed for Cleveland, San Antonio, Denver, San Jose, Uncasville (Connecticut), Hollywood (Florida), Tampa, Charlotte, and Glendale (Arizona), further extending the reach of this landmark concert series.
The "Fifty Something 2026" tour is scheduled to kick off on June 7th with the first of four sold-out performances at the Kia Forum. Following these initial California dates, the band will bring their electrifying show to major cities such as Mexico City, Fort Worth (Texas), Chicago, New York, and Toronto for multiple nights. The newly announced dates will see Rush visiting Philadelphia on August 21st, Detroit's Little Caesars Arena on August 26th, Montreal's Bell Centre on September 2nd, and Boston's TD Garden on September 12th, among others throughout the fall and early winter.
This tour marks Rush's first time hitting the road in 11 years, with Lee and Lifeson not having toured since their "R40" 40th anniversary tour concluded on August 1st, 2015. That tour was notably their final road outing with Neil Peart, who tragically passed away on January 7th, 2020, at the age of 67, due to glioblastoma, a form of brain cancer. For the upcoming tour, Geddy Lee and Alex Lifeson will be joined by the acclaimed German drummer and composer Anika Nilles, known for her work with artists like Jeff Beck and her four solo albums, ensuring the rhythmic legacy of Rush continues.
Fans eager to secure tickets for the new shows are encouraged to sign up for a Rush artist pre-sale by 11:59 p.m. ET on Thursday, October 23rd, with no code required, as access is tied to the user's account. The artist pre-sale is slated to begin on October 27th at 12 p.m. local time in both the U.S. and Canada. A general on-sale will follow, commencing at 12 p.m. local time on October 31st in the U.S. and Canada. Additional information regarding Citi and American Express re-sales is also available for interested buyers.
