Legal Eagle Haruna Soars, Bags SAN Award and APC Praise

Dattuwa Ali Kumo, the Deputy National Financial Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), extended heartfelt congratulations to Barr. Luka Haruna's swearing-in as one of Nigeria’s newest SANs was followed by a grand reception held in his honour at the distinguished Transcorp Hilton in Abuja, an event which Dattuwa Ali Kumo proudly attended among other notable dignitaries. During his remarks at the reception, Kumo lauded Haruna's achievement as truly “inspiring,” stressing that the conferment transcended individual success to become a collective triumph. He articulated, “The elevation of Barr. Luka Haruna, SAN, is a true testament to his unwavering dedication, professional excellence, and impactful service to the legal community. It is an achievement that will inspire many, especially our youth, to pursue excellence with diligence and integrity.” Kumo concluded his address with a prayer, beseeching Almighty Allah to bestow upon the new SAN “greater wisdom, strength, and continued success in advancing justice and service to the nation.”
The celebratory event attracted a high-profile gathering, underscoring the significance of Barr. Haruna's achievement and his standing within society. Among the distinguished attendees were Barr. M.A. Abubakar, SAN, the former Governor of Bauchi State, along with several traditional rulers including the Emir of Akko, the Emirs of Pindiga, and Gona. Academia was represented by Deputy Provost Professor Joshua Difa of the College of Medical Sciences. The political landscape was also well-represented, with National Assembly members such as the Chief Whip and Minority Whip of the House of Representatives, Hon.
