Kobie Dee Ignites A-League Grand Final Stage with Epic Kick-Off Performance

Kobie Dee, the acclaimed Sydney artist hailing from Bidjigal Land Maroubra, is set to make history as the headline performer for the Isuzu UTE A-League 2026 Grand Final. This highly anticipated event, Australia and New Zealand’s premier soccer league, will mark a significant milestone in Dee’s career as his inaugural performance at a major national sporting event.
The grand final is scheduled to take place during the weekend of May 23/24, with its specific location yet to be announced. Fans eager to attend can purchase tickets starting 4pm AEST next Monday, May 18.
This announcement comes just days after the release of Kobie Dee’s vibrant new single, “Aim For The Stars,” distributed via Bad Apples Music/Island Records Australia. The track is described as an energetic and anthemic piece, fittingly selected as the official sync for the competition’s Finals campaign. The accompanying advertisement for the campaign is currently streaming on Paramount+, giving audiences a taste of the powerful new song. Dee shared his vision for the track, stating, “I want people to hear this song and feel like no dream is too big. Especially young people coming from the same streets I started in. I want them to believe that they can see themselves in these spaces too. For me, ‘Aiming For The Stars’ means taking Maroubra to the world, not leaving it and just telling stories about it.”
Kobie Dee has dropped a new single, “Aim For The Stars,” released via Bad Apples Music/Island Records Australia, and already tied to a major Finals campaign as its official sync track.
The energetic anthem is also featured in a promotional advert currently streaming on Paramount+, amplifying its reach ahead of the competition’s climax.
Speaking on the track, Dee said it is meant to inspire young people from his background to believe in bigger possibilities, describing it as a way of “taking Maroubra to the world” while still representing where he comes from.
Kobie Dee experienced a breakout year in 2025, which saw him achieve several significant career milestones. He received a nomination for the inaugural NSW Music Prize for his work on “Chapter 26” and graced the stage at the ARIA Awards, performing alongside notable artists such as Young Franco, Baker Boy, Anna Ryan, and Touch Sensitive.
Beyond his musical performances, Dee also demonstrated his commitment to his community by founding Twenny47 Studios, a creative hub established in the heart of his neighborhood, dedicated to supporting and mentoring emerging First Nations artists.
Kobie Dee’s momentum continues to build, with over 80 million streams across platforms marking his growing reach.
The Australian rapper has also earned spots on major festival lineups, including Splendour in the Grass, Listen Out, and Spilt Milk, strengthening his live performance profile.
Outside music, collaborations with brands like Lacoste and GQ highlight his expanding influence in fashion and culture.
His upcoming performance at the A-League Grand Final signals another step in a steadily rising career.
