Speculations are mounting regarding former President Goodluck Jonathan's potential bid for the 2027 presidential election, with various political figures and spiritual leaders weighing in on the matter. An Ibadan-based cleric, Apostle Oluwarotimi Adeyeye, President and founder of the Clear Revelation Ministry, prophesied that Jonathan would emerge victorious in 2027 if he decides to run. Adeyeye, who has a history of accurate political predictions, cited Jonathan's past decisions, such as rejecting a USA proposal on same-sex marriage and his peaceful concession in the 2015 elections, as indicators of his divine mandate. The cleric also advised President Bola Tinubu to reconsider any second-term ambition, stating, “I don’t see him winning that contest but with God nothing is irreversible”.
Amidst these prophecies, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Governors Forum, led by Governor Muhammed Bala of Bauchi State, indicated that the party is actively considering both former President Goodluck Jonathan and the 2023 Labour Party presidential candidate, Mr. Peter Obi, for the 2027 presidency. Governor Bala described Jonathan as one of the “most celebrated politicians” and suggested Obi could be given an opportunity if he joins a
