Jill Scott's Epic Comeback: First Album in Over a Decade Electrifies Fans!

Philly-bred singer Jill Scott is set to make a highly anticipated return to the music scene in 2026 with her first album in over a decade. The Grammy-winning artist announced plans to release her new project, titled "To Whom This May Concern," just before Valentine’s Day, on February 13.
"To Whom This May Concern" marks Scott’s first studio album since her critically acclaimed 2015 release, "Woman," which successfully debuted atop the Billboard 200 chart. This upcoming LP is poised to be a significant release, featuring an impressive roster of collaborators including Ab-Soul, J.I.D, fellow Philadelphia native Tierra Whack, and Too $hort.
Scott has also enlisted a decorated team of producers to craft the album's sound. The list includes renowned names such as DJ Premier, Adam Blackstone, Om’Mas Keith, Camper, Andre Harris, Seige Montracity, Trombone Shorty, Eric Wortham, DW Wright, and VT Tolan. The album will feature a generous 19 tracks, with the neo-soul legend having already set the stage for the project with the release of "Beautiful People" as its lead single.
This new album signifies a fresh chapter for Jill Scott, as she will be releasing "To Whom This May Concern" through The Orchard. Her 2015 album marked the final release under her previous deal with Atlantic Records, making this a significant independent venture.
Scott personally shared her excitement about the album's impending release on Friday, January 2, stating, "Finally my new album entitled TO WHOM THIS MAY CONCERN drops Feb. 13th!!!! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE and THANK YOU for your patience and your listening ears. Presave link available in my bio now! Much Love, Jilly from Philly."
During an appearance on Million Dollaz Worth of Game in December, Miss Jill Scott offered insights into the project's direction and emotional depth. She described the album as encompassing "a lot of living" and "a lot of revelation." Musically, she characterized it as a "full spectrum," expressing immense satisfaction with the musicianship and the individuals who gravitated towards the project, stating, "I couldn’t be happier. I couldn’t have ever even imagined who is on this album."
Beyond her musical endeavors, Scott has also maintained an active presence in acting. She made a cameo appearance as herself in a 2025 episode of "Abbott Elementary" and is slated to star in Tyler Perry’s "Why Did I Get Married Again?" later in the current year. Fans are encouraged to view her "To Whom This May Concern" announcement and prepare to stream the album on February 13.
